Worcester’s Marvellous Medicine – Steward’s Chemist Shop

Formerly of No 27 High Street, Worcester, J.A Steward purchased the premises in 1874 and it was handed down through the family until it ceased trading in 1973. The shop fittings were acquired by the City Museum in 1974 where it was accurately reconstructed.  The Chemist shop is still in place almost 40 years later and we are offering a unique opportunity for you to learn about its fascinating past while you explore the chemist shop for yourself.

Collections Officers Garston Phillips and David Nash conduct the Worcester’s Marvellous Medicine Talk on the 26th October at 2.30pm.

For bookings please contact Worcester City Museum and Art Gallery on 01905 25371 and for further information regarding the collections from Stewards Chemist shop please contact David Nash at museumcollections@worcestershire.gov.uk
